We want you to be happy with everything you purchase, which is why we offer customer satisfaction on anything you purchase or your money back. If you purchase a product and, for whatever reason, you are not fully satisfied with it, you may return it to us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, minus shipping charges, provided that the item has not been used and remains in new and resalable condition. Power supplies, cables, connectors and closeout products carry a 90-day warranty.

Warranty does not cover any damages caused directly or indirectly by lightning strikes, power surges, use of power generators, flood, vandalism, improper installation, product abuse or tampering. (Altering or cutting of any wires, video/power connectors, etc. on any camera or DVR / NVR is considered product tampering).

To return a product to us, whether for a refund or for warranty service, we have one simple procedure to follow:

First, you can call us so that we can issue you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number that you will need to put on the outside of your return shipping box by the shipping label. Packages received without an RMA number will be refused.

Once you receive your RMA#, follow the next few steps for an easy return:

1) Place your product in its original box, making sure that all of the accessories and documentation are included. (Not necessary if returning for service or exchange of the same item)

2) Place the product box inside a secure shipping box as to prevent the product and original box from being damaged during shipping.

3) Include on/or near the shipping label the RMA number provided, as our warehouse will not accept a shipment without an RMA number attached.

4) Include a copy of your invoice or sales receipt with a brief description of the reason for the return and whether you want a refund, exchange, store credit, etc.

5) Send the package back to us via the shipper of your choice, making sure that the package is insured against loss or damage.

Note:  Using USPS with delivery confirmation does not assure you that the package has arrived at our warehouse. That entire delivery confirmation means is that your package arrived at the regional USPS postal office and/or at a Postal Box. The only way to ensure that your USPS shipment gets to us is to request and pay for an “Adult Signature Restricted Delivery Confirmation” or to ship via UPS, FedEx or DHL with Signature Confirmation.

Products returned altered, used, scratched, dented, discolored without packaging and/or missing parts will not be accepted and will be returned to the owner at their expense. Shipping charges to and from are not refunded.

As soon as we receive your product, we will inspect it and act as per your request.

New products being returned for a refund, but missing paperwork (manuals, warranty card, software, etc.) will incur a 25% re-stocking fee.

Refunds, if applicable, will be issued within 10 days of receiving your product. 

Shipping: The customer assumes the costs for shipping all returns back to Security Smart Shop.

Payments:  We offer several different payment options for your Convenience. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, wire transfers, and Pay Pal

Restock Fees

All returned items will be subject to inspection. If it is determined that an item is not in resalable condition, you will be charged up to 20% of the retail price of the item. Conditions that will incur a restocking fee include, but are not limited to, damage to the product, its components, accessories, or packaging. A restocking fee will also be assessed for missing parts, accessories, or packaging.
